A roundtable conference for experts, creators, users, and people who link creators and users to exchange opinions. The first roundtable conference was held in Kyoto and the second one was held in Tokyo. This will be the third roundtable conference in which we will summarize and review the past three years and reconsider the meaning of cross-cutting collaboration. From Japan and around the world, a wide range of people involved in kogei will gather to exchange their opinions about the next 100 years of kogei. At this symposium featuring a new format, all participants will contemplate on the conference topic based on the results of the survey responses previously collected from all participants, the three questions for all participants, and the answers to those questions. The strengths and appeals of the Japanese kogei identified through the 21st Century Takagamine Forum will be shared among the participants. We will discuss issues that must be shared across Japan in preparation for 2020 in order to strengthen Japan’s inbound tourism and domestic tourism that focuses on Japanese kogei. At the end of the conference, we will release the Ishikawa/Kanazawa Proposal.
