Brief history
Cherishing the craftsmanship of artisans, we display and sell high quality craft products that enable the user to incorporate the value of craftsmanship into everyday life. Under the theme “From Ishikawa to the World,” we provide captivating items from across Japan and around the world.
We also introduce artists whose works are based on traditions but created with original vision.
We propose to enrich people’s lives by, for example, experiencing the pleasure of using authentic craft products in their own way or experiencing the joy of giving such products to someone special.
Event history for Kogei
We hold Fumi Kimura’s Tea Solon periodically. At the salon, we propose ways to enjoy kogei according to a season or a theme.
– “A kogei flower ‘tour’: A guide to flower patterns,” “Hosting guests in spring: Have a casual yet stylish tea party” (2017)
– “Dishware with auspicious patterns that bring happiness,” “Be one step ahead in enjoying fall! Hosting guests with small dishes,” “Enjoy modern day hanami (gathering for enjoying cherry blossoms) and tea,” etc. (2016)
Planning of events and planning/holding of related tea salons for the culture program of Shiinoki Cultural Complex
– “Story of Okura Art China” (2016), “RAYNAUD – The Elegance of Limoges” (2015), “Weaving Colors and Glitter: Japanese Glass” (2014), etc.
We also hold a salon for conveying the charms of kogei three times a year.
